Insomnia Once Again

I didn’t sleep last night, so I spent the day out in the larger town about 11 miles away. I got two books and looked around a few stores. I can’t eat until 17:15 tomorrow as for the hospital tests, I need to fast. I don’t know if I will be able to post anything tomorrow as I’ll need to stay in the hospital a while.

I don’t have much planned for tonight. I might read or play a game.

Not a lot to say today, maybe my lack of sleep and feeling unwell.

Uncharted 4 And Thinking On The Five-Year-Plan

I slept for about five hours, from 11:00 till 16:00, still not early, need to see if I can try to either just stay up for a few more hours or sleep a few less hours and see if I can’t get up earlier that way.

We went on Uncharted 4 again, we got to wave 40 and that boss is really hard. I know we are on hard mode, so it’s to be expected, but there is a difference between being hard and challenging to being almost impossible and frustrating. There is always a point at which a challenge becomes frustrating and you start to get bored, that happened to my brother’s friend. We’ll be on it again either tomorrow or Sunday to try and beat it, I can’t go on Saturday as I need to go to the hospital and I’ll be pretty out of it for the rest of the day after due to needing to be satiated.

I’m still thinking on the five-year-plan actions, trying to figure out what is the best way for me to get things done.

I will be trying to read a little later.

Five-Year-Plan And Actions To Take

I managed to sleep for about four hours today, I didn’t sleep when I wanted to, so I fell asleep around 11:00 and woke around 15:00. Just when I think to try and get a better sleep schedule again, the very first night, I can’t sleep. I figured that it’d be hard, at least when I sleep though, I don’t sleep for very long, so it doesn’t feel like I wasted the day.

On my five-year-plan, I think the best way to lay it out is in a table. I’ve read that you should break your plan down into actions you can take now that can build up. So being healthy and fit would be like a monthly action and goal would be, revise workout if needed and try to lose 1 pound, respectively, and have a daily action which would be to do 30 push ups and 30 sit ups and eat healthily. I don’t know what would be a good workout plan so I’ll be looking into it. Also for the writing, I am not sure if it should be something like write for 30 minutes every day and monthly would be something like, finish one short story or poem.

I should be playing Uncharted 4 again tonight with my brother and his friend, but I am not sure if we will since my brother fell asleep and just woke up.

Five-Year-Plan And Trying To Get Up Early

I played Uncharted 4 again on survival mode; we managed to complete it on moderate and got to wave 20 on hard. We plan to go on it again tomorrow, see if we can’t at least get to level 30 because it’s starting to get really hard at the moment. I might spend an hour going on a few matches on my own to get my level up.

I didn’t get up early today as I slept around 09:00 and woke up around 14:00, I got about five hours of sleep but still wasn’t up early, just up late and awake early if you count the number of hours I slept.

I managed to finish my five-year-plan goals; I need to break them down into actions, so I will be thinking that over tonight. It looks like this now.

1: Keep fit and healthy

– Get a healthy body.

  • By this, I mean to get better from my conditions or at least get manage them to the point that they don’t interfere too much with life.

2: Keep my mind clear and my feelings up

– Keep my mind clear.

  • By this, I mean that I want to keep my mind free of worry and clutter.

– Keep my feelings up.

  • By this, I mean that I will try to stay positive and keep myself happy.

3: At least write one book.

– Write a book.

  • By this, I mean that I want to write at least one book, whether it’s a novella or a novel.

4: Try to get a blog popular.

– Try to get at least one blog popular.

  • By this, I mean that I want to have at least one blog that gets a decent amount of traffic and interaction.

5: Video series

– Try to get a video series started.

  • By this, I mean that I want to do a video series, whether that is just a video form of a podcast, vlogging, let’s plays, etc.

I did a little writing again; hopefully, I have something to show again later.

Insomnia And Writing A Five-Year-Plan

I tried to start this week off by getting up early, I didn’t sleep, so I didn’t get up early, but I stayed up late, which got the same result, I was up at 7 AM, but perspective, right?

Getting up early is hard for an insomniac as you might find that for a few days you’ll have a good sleep schedule and you’ll get up early but then one day you’ll not sleep and your sleep schedule is different.

The day hasn’t been too bad, tired, but fine.

I managed to get a little bit on my five-year-plan written out. So far it is as follows.

1: Keep fit and healthy

Unwell And Waking Up Early

I played on Uncharted 4 on survival mode with my brother and one of his friends last night. It was fun; I’ve never been on that mode before. The mode came out when I lent my friend the game. We got to wave 40 before my brother’s friend went off. We played this mode on Uncharted 2 when it first came out; I remember playing hours of it with them.

I’ve got a rough plan I want to do. I will be trying to wake up early tomorrow to finish writing it out. I want to try waking up earlier from now on.

I haven’t been feeling well today and I managed to sleep for a little bit around 18:00 to 21:00. The pain in my side has made me just want to lie in bed. I haven’t got any plans for tonight; I might read or might just try to fall asleep. Tomorrow I hope to finish writing out my plan and see if I can make a schedule.

The day hasn’t been too bad, it’s been sunny but not too hot, I made my Yu-Gi-Oh deck and played a few games with my friend, I managed to win them all; the new deck I made has some really powerful cards.

My OCD hasn’t bothered me too much today, just trying to relax for the moment.

I am going to try and write a drama scene and a sci-fi scene tonight.

I have been thinking about making something like a five-year-plan, I will sort it out tomorrow and post what my plan of action will be.

Random Scene Writing

I’m not feeling too bad today, I managed to think about some stuff and I’ll be able to put it into action later.

Not much has happened today, but I will be posting my writing below.

My OCD didn’t get in my way too much when writing.

These were just scenes I wrote at random, it was written as it came to me, no planned structure. These haven’t been edited, you might find spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, or think the prose is hard to read.

I see this one as a western story.

Upturned tables scattered around with the splinters of snapped chairs; the alcohol decanting onto the floor, the splatter loader and the only source of noise after the gunfire. The smell of gunpowder was mixed with the evening air. The man opened his gun’s chamber, checking how much he had left as sweat dripped on to the chamber; he wiped it off by gently flicking his thumb over it. He set the chamber back in place. Three bullets left and four men standing. He’d need to line two of them up and hoped the bullet would perforate the first one and penetrate the other deep enough to at least immobilise. It’d be easier to run away but the man never usually got lucky enough to avoid getting into a first in the first place, let alone get away once one started.

The man looked at a piece of shattered mirror; he could see the kaleidoscopic reflection of one of the men outside peering around the corner. The man gripped the gun lightly with his right hand, keeping his finger ever ready, he placed his left hand gently over the barrel of his gun and breathed in as deeply but calmly as possible. He needed to get a hold of one of the guns the enemy had. The corridor along the side should be narrow. Draw them into close courters and collect their gun while seeking cover and positioning enemies.

I see this as a samurai story.

The man’s sword swung down only to be met by the Stranger’s steel. A low clank hollowed throughout the back of the forest. The Stranger had only partly drawn his sword, more than half remanded within the scabbard.

“I don’t know what you hope to gain by attacking me, if you want money, I can give you enough for a meal tonight.”

The man leant his body to his right and another man rushed towards them. The second man’s sword sliced through the air, cutting into the slowly falling snow, and now that sword was about to cut into something just as unique as a snowflake; a life.

The Stranger smacked his palm into the man’s chest, the man staggered back, sliding a little on the snow. The Stanger stepped back and dodged the second man’s strike. The Stranger was going to speak again, asking them to reconsider, however, the second man tried to thrust his sword into the Stanger’s chest. The sword slid past the Stranger as he sidestepped and he simultaneously drew his sword in one fluid motion; gripping his sword, which hung by his left side with his right hand facing backward, drawing the sword upside-down. The stranger grabbed the man’s wrist and pulled in the same direction as his side step and as he twisted the man’s wrist, he drew his sword across the man’s right ankle.

The man fell to the ground, his arms splayed out in front of him, his sword sliding from his hand. The Stranger looked at the other men, his eyes pleading with them not to exacerbate this scuffle further. The first man ran at him with another man, both aiming for the Strangers chest.

The Stranger took a step in and a step to his left just when his opponent’s sword was nearing his chest. He grabbed his opponent’s forearm and ran the edge of his sword along the top of his opponent’s hand. As his opponent was disarmed, the other assailant had switched position and stepped behind his ally and swung down. The Stranger dexterously spun the sword around to face upwards and placed his foot in-between the man he’s just cut and swiped; the man came crashing down. The incoming attack by the other man was parried skillfully, as the sword came into contact with the Stranger’s, the Stranger took another instep and turned his sword slightly, so the edge of his blade was touching the back of his opponent’s sword and he pushed down, causing his opponent’s sword to be forced down to an unfavourable position. The Strange smashed his hilt into the man’s chest, the Stranger seized the man’s shoulder and pulled him downwards towards him and the Stranger crashed his hilt into the back of the man’s neck.

The man fell to the floor, the Stranger looked at the men who attacked him; he reached into his pocket and pulled out a few coins and placed them in the hand of the man he just attacked.

I see this as a horror story.

The door opened to absolute darkness. The blackness resonating out, ringing to all things to came and be devoured. It wouldn’t even do it justice to merely call it something so easily imagined as absolute darkness; the abyssopelagic, dense blackness; the personal demon calling blackness; the brutal soul crushing blackness.

A blackness such that even calling it a lack of colour isn’t correct, it wasn’t a question of what it didn’t reflect, but what it devoured. The void of everything, a perfect resonating silence; not of sound, but of the soul. The utter lack of anything stood us in our tracks. None dared to step forward, not at first, to cross that threshold held a deeper meaning to all present, to enter meant to admit; to state something clearly for the demons that lurked within to hear; that we are here, we are ignorant, and we are foolish.

Writing More And More Yu-Gi-Oh

I went on Uncharted 3 again today; I’ve gotten to the part with the pirates. I remember the game fairly well and I’ve been able to go through it quickly.

I got my Yu-Gi-Oh cards today, now I feel like a kid again. Going to see what cards I want in my new deck, I’ve looked through the new cards and picked out what ones I want to use, now to add some of my old cards.

I’ve written a little more of my random scenes, just seeing what other genres I could do. I’ll probably to a romance and sci-fi, then I will post them.

Hopefully this month I can sort myself out a little bit in my reading and writing.

Writing And Yu-Gi-Oh

I wrote today with a friend, we managed to write a lot. We were discussing certain scenes and how we thought they’d play out. We had fun.

We also played Yu-Gi-Oh. My friend got a new deck and wanted to try it out. I haven’t played Yu-Gi-Oh in about 10 years. I still have my old deck from back then, I remember playing it in school. My deck only has cards from 10 years ago, I managed to win both our duels, but they were hard, the new cards are powerful. I bought two starter deck packs of new cards, I know what they contain as one of them was also bought by my friend and I’d looked through it and I looked at the cards of the other deck on the Yu-Gi-Oh Wiki.

I plan to go on Uncharted 3 again tonight. I might see if I can try it on Crushing if I can get through Hard fast enough. I seem to be getting through it faster than I thought.
